Feeling broken

I know I have been away awhile but I have been struggling with mental health issues.

You see in real life I am a very paranoid person I am always stressed . I am always thinking about what is going to happen next I am always worried about what is around the corner.

Even in relationships I am just always on guard because I have let people hurt me in the past.

This anxiety that I have been feeling this numbing feeling is just something that won’t go away it doesn’t matter how hard I push my how many times I sit and cry how many times. I try to tell my self I am okay

It just won’t leave so for the most part I have took my self off social media and I am becoming less attracted to people not because I don’t love them or I want to but because it’s just the way I am.

Nothing triggered it nothing has happened it just came on so yeah that’s why I have been less active in here and hopefully soon enough I become active again

Age discrimination in the UK

As a 21 year old who lives in the UK and has worked sins I was the age off 18 I feel like my age has always been a factor off less pay and discrimination.

People my age and younger work the same hours and work just as hard are harder in the environments we are placed in to get recognised by our peers or our managers. Age should not be a factor in pay however even during this pandemic the amount of young people who have worked throughout this pandemic still get paid less then your peers even though we are putting our own lives at risk.

The law

What the Equality Act says about age discrimination. The Equality Act 2010 says that you must not be discriminated against because: you are (or are not) a certain age or in a certain age group. someone thinks you are (or are not) a specific age or age group, this is known as discrimination by perception.

However because off my age I am paid less. It is a bit controdictive. As a female support worker we are already discriminated enough as it is due to the fact males are not allowed to bath women however females are allowed to bath men.

Yes this to help protect a womens decency but what about the males. We live in a system where the younger you are the less money you have but we are in a system where teen pregnancy is higher then ever? How can a women or a man look after there children getting paid half off what someone only a few years old gets? Teen moms or dads are getting criticised for working to meany hours and there children having to spend more time with there nana and grandads because they have to work 2x the amount off shifts to even keep them for a month.

As I get older I have seem my self personally be attacked by age discrimination even though I work 36 to 48 hours in a week and I still get paid less then my peers because off my age.

The national living wage

The new UK living wage was announced by the Living Wage Foundation this week. It will be £9.30 across the UK and £10.75 in London. Employers registered as Living Wage employers have until May 2020 to implement the changes.

The national wage

The full set of rates can be seen below: the National Living Wage for those aged 25 and over will increase by 6.2% to £8.72 an hour. the National Minimum Wage for those aged 21 to 24 is increasing by 6.5% to £8.20 an hour. the National Minimum Wage for those aged 18 to 20 is increasing by 4.9% to £6.45 an hour.

How can they expect us to live on a wage that even experts have said is too low?

And the truth is?

Because we get on with it we live each day like we have no other we work ridiculous hours just to get taxed half off our wages the system for us is very floored but to them we make there money so they arnt bothered. We are just the hamsters in the wheel that keep turning.

So what i have learnt is that being discriminated against isn’t fun and that if we want younger people to come off the dole and start working at least pay us more then what we would get on the dole

5 things to help improve your morning

Have you ever had a morning where all you want to do is snuggle back under the sheets?

That cup off coffee just isn’t cutting the thirst that you have and why you have such a quick energy burst and then by lunch you have crashed and burned?

Well today I am going to tell you 5 things on how to improve your over all day.

No coffee

Coffee contains caffeine and although caffeine is a good source of energy in the morning your body is dehydrated and drinking coffee will not give your body the hydration you need to have a clear mind instead coffee especially with sugar will send your body into caffeine high and then will send your body crashing back down

drinking coffee can actually make it hard for your body to absorb certain nutrients. Such as iron especially  if you drink coffee with your breakfast.

If a women is Breast feeding or is pregnant  it is vital that iron is given to the women as it helps your red blood cells transfer oxygen to your lungs.

Make your bed

When you wake up before getting ready and getting washed having that cold bottle off water. Make your bed as once your bed is made your first task off the day is done and you now can move on to the next task and remember you started off you day strong 💪.

Eat

Yes to my younger readers this might sound strange but you older people here is one for you the same as the water if you don’t eat during the morning your body won’t have any energy and you won’t have anything to hold you over and instead of making poor eating decisions your body will make better decisions as your body sugars aren’t low and you aren’t looking for a quick fix. Your body will just need a little boozed.

Don’t go on your phone

Now I know we all have a life and we all need to find what our friends or your favourite  social media people are doing but what are you doing?
If you give your self at least 15 minutes before you go to bed and 15 minutes when you wake you just to think about what your are going to do that day or what you are going to do or just to refresh your mind this also gives your eyes time to come around and to relax and just to let the negative things to leave your body.

And lastly…Think positively.

Think about the day ahead and not the day before think about what you need to do and what you want to do. Think about how with what you do today may change your life. Eat day is a different  day and each day learn to love your self a little more.

Foods that improves moods!

We have all heard the saying “eat all your food to make you big and stronge” but is there any truth in the saying.

Infact as a child the benefits of eating certain foods can do just that! Foods such as milk and yogurts can make your bones grow and help with the development of strength due to is high volume of calcium.

Your greens as a child will help you to have some more energy due to its B vitamins and will help support your brain health with also making red and white blood cells.

But… as a adult do we really need to be eating our 5 a day? The answer to that is yes.

Greens such as kale and spinach help to keep our brain sharp and keeps your brain from declining even the small amount of leafy greens like a cup full will help your brain to keep sharp.

Dairy on the other hand will help with your bone health and keep your bones strong due to the high amounts of calcium.

I have a full page of what vitamins do for your body.

But today we are going to be talking about what foods improve your moods

How do foods improve your moods?

Well foods don’t just improve your mood in a positive way they can also affect your mood in a negative way due to different types off foods realising different type off chemicals.

These chemicals are.

  • Dopamine:provides energy (also know as the love drug)
  • Acetylcholine: that helps to enhance mood and memory
  • Seritonin: can help to lessen depressive moods
  • Norepinephrine helps to provide energy.

What foods effects my brain in a negative way

Sugar

Sugar will give your brain a little bit off a high boost and then effectively make you crash and burn. Sugar is also know to make you crave to eat or drink sugary foods such like a drug

Fried foods

Fried foods just like sugar make you crave more fried foods because off how much salts and sugars go into the deep fried goodness this will trick your brain into thinking you are getting vitamins and minerals so your body craves more

Aspartame

Although aspartame is not a food its self it is a crystalline molecule it is still in most “diet” products such as diet cola. Aspartame can cause headakes, dizziness, fatigue and changes in heart rate

Mood boosting vitamins and minerals

  • Iron
  • Zinc
  • Vitamin c
  • Calcium
  • Folic acid
  • Vitamin d
  • Omega-3

5 foods that help to boost your mood!!!

1 lentils

Lentils contain iron which has been linked to helping improve depression.

2 dark greens

The calcium and vitamin D in kale and different greens will help you boost energy and help to improve depression and depressive symptoms

3 salmon

Salmon can help with the cognitive processs as it has a lot off omega 3 also helps to to improve memory

4 banana’s

Bananas have vitamin b6 in which helps to turn tryptophan into the moods lifting hormone serotonin.

5. Dark chocolate

Helps to boost memory ,attention span and reaction time

So the truth behind “eat all your food to make you big and strong”

Yes there is truth behind it but it all depends on what food you are eating and how much off the food you are eating

Eatting more food to boost your mind can help you live a longer and healthier life and can also keep your mind sharper and fuller. It can also help with depression and anxiety to.

Breaking news

Breaking news

In a country of 55.98 millon people 33.82 million off them are female.
In March last year alone 1.6million females and 786.000 males came forward as being in a domestic abuse relationship which was a 24% upwards spiral from the year before.

The police arrested 214.965 domestic abusers by the end off the year form only 39 police stations alone.

Now that was at the end off March last year. In 2020 the world has been on lockdown and women and men are still getting abused during this time.

Your neighbour, your friends, your kids, your family or it might be you.

During these hard times there is women and children and men scared to be at home and with the world being on lockdown it only helps the abusers. To be able to control and manipulate and in some cases the attacks have been so serious that lives have been lost good peoples lives.

In these times we all need to look out for one another.

The first signs of being abuses is someone who is very bubbly or very talkative. Goes quite when there partner is around they get tense or sometimes just doesn’t say a word.

Bruises

If a women or a man or a child has bruises that are all different shades off colors going from the dark purple to the dark colour brown and has multiple off these bruises and they seem to get more off then and everytime one is leaving there is another or they have multiple bruises over weeks and months.

Try and make a safe space and talk to them.

With a adult gently let them open up talk to them about there behaviour then there husband/wife or girlfreind/boyfriend is around and how they act differently.

Never talk to someone who you think is getting abuses about there bruises they may try and cover it over and especially females will try to hide under there make up.

With children ask them how they are feeling and share that this is a open space to talk. Never tell a child you are scared for there safety or ask a child if he or she is being abused just keep reminding them they can tell you anything as this is a open space if you tell a child you are worried about them and you are scared off there bruises a child will tell their parents and that could be putting them more in danger.

Emotional abuse happens too

If a person has been emotionally abuses they might be dragged away from there friends and family they might start arguments over little things and they might stop talking to you.

Emotional abuses is a very complicated abuse it tends to happen very slowly and at first it just seems like the person is more arugmentive or doesn’t want to be around you they have stopped talking to there family.

They have stopped talking to there friends because there partner doesn’t like there friends and he or she just wants all off there time.

They spend all the time together and there partner speaks for them they are always talking about how there partners wishes need to be filled. There partner seems to put his or her self confidence down by calling them fat or ever calling them ugly.

They are always talking about how there partner is after some other women and how they should change to be just what there partner wants.

They need to be home on time.

A emotional abuser is someone who likes to be in control off there other half how they dress who they talk to and what they eat.

Sexual  abuse Sexual abuses happens to all women men and children.
In 2019 1,439 cases of rape happens in england alone.
Rape is the most vile thing that can ever happen to anyone.

Some rape victims don’t come forward as they are scared and they feel like they are to blame.

Sexual acts in another person without there consent is wrong and needs to be stopped sexual acts tend to come with either emotional or physical abuse.

Sexual prediters often want to make there victims feel weak and helpless and over powered.

If a women/man has been sexually asolted they tend to be very quite, they may be very angry, they may hurt them self’s if you feel like someone you know has been abuses in anyway please call authoritys.

If a child has been sexually abused they may become scared or tell you in a safe place what has happened please do not interrupted the child and just listen. Once the child is finished talking people write down what the child has said and call the police after do not tell the child you are doing this as this might make the child not trust you as this is a big step forward for the child make sure the child feels like you can be his or hers safe space.

Please make sure that your friends and family are safe and sound.

Please make sure you are safe and sound.
